Editorial policy
Each published guide should provide useful, source-based guidance.
Minimum useful substance
A guide needs a specific symptom, observable signs, uncertain causes, safe checks, stop conditions, technician information, repair considerations and relevant sources. An authorized reviewer must explicitly approve the exact revision.
Honest attribution
Attribution identifies the actual person responsible for maintaining the material. Source research and human editorial review are distinct. An authorized reviewer approves an exact revision before publication.
Safety boundaries
Instructions exclude energized testing, gas-line repair, safety-device bypass, refrigerant handling and microwave internal repairs. Immediate hazards override normal troubleshooting.
Revisions and commercial influence
A guide keeps its approved public version while pending edits are reviewed. Reviewers can unpublish or archive questionable material. Ad serving is currently disabled. Editorial guidance and calculations follow their sources and inputs independently of advertising.
