Sources and research standards
A citation must support the specific claim and its model or geographic scope.
Preferred evidence
Official manufacturer manuals support model behavior and permitted checks. DOE, ENERGY STAR, EIA, CPSC and food-safety agencies support relevant federal information. Other claims need credible original research or legitimately licensed data.
Traceable records
Each reference retains its title, publisher, exact URL, known publication or collection date, verification date and relevance notes. Unknown dates remain unknown. References imply neither manufacturer endorsement nor professional certification.
Repair-price integrity
Every public price range needs a source, actual geography, currency, supported bounds, assumptions, verification date and editorial approval. Compare a quote for the diagnosed repair. When reliable data is absent, the site says so and provides user-entered quote tools.
Originality and permissions
Guides use original language. We write original guidance and use authorized imagery with traceable primary sources. Uploaded assets require authorization and alt text. Unverified codes or sources remain in research.
